Our gallery-style café opened its doors on April 18th. Then, on April 25th, we welcomed guests into our second space — a café inspired by the traditional Japanese kissaten.
The Gallery Café, facing Rustaveli Street, is a place to enjoy coffee and sweets alongside a curated selection of Japanese crafts and tools — including KONO brewing equipment, matcha bowls, furoshiki, and more, all available for purchase. Looking ahead, we plan to host coffee events, workshops, cultural experiences, and art exhibitions featuring artists from Japan and Georgia. It is, quite literally, a gallery where Japanese culture lives and where the exchange between Japan and Georgia takes shape.
The Kissaten, which opened on April 25th, is a space unlike anywhere else in Tbilisi. Modeled after the quiet, timeless atmosphere of an old Japanese café, it welcomes you into a world of dark wooden counters, soft light, and unhurried time. Come with a friend, come with someone you love, or come alone with a book. Relax, and let the coffee do the rest.
The entrance to the Kissaten is on Besiki Street, approximately 20 meters from Rustaveli — look for the small round sign.
Together, these two spaces make up AYANOMA. You are free to choose whichever suits your mood — or visit both. Our blend and specialty coffees are roasted by Japan’s finest artisans and flown in directly from Japan. The taste is genuine.
One note: the Kissaten offers a limited selection of sweets. If you’d like something more, you’re welcome to order from the Gallery Café and bring it over. And when the gallery is busy, or when you simply prefer somewhere quieter, the Kissaten is waiting for you.
The Kissaten is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, closed on Wednesdays. The Gallery Café is open every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The Kissaten has its own Instagram account, separate from the Gallery Café. Be sure to check it out as well.
